"My name is Patou Powell I was born in England but raised as a Jamaican by Jamaican parents. I grew up close to the Bristol Old Vic Theatre in a very multicultural area, the combination of these two things gave me the inspiration for mimicry which I still love and am forever fine tuning. I specialise in West Indian accents and a few regional English dialects and have added West African over my 14 years of voice over and jingle experience. My most familiar work was as the voice of Coco the monkey for Kelloggs Cocopops from 1986 to 1998 and my voice has sold everything from groovy jocks to baby shampoo. Am dat smoood dark chocolate sensation dat iits de spot!"
